Rogaine, What’s in a Name?

No matter who you are or where you are form you have undoubtedly heard of at least one hair loss product that is called Rogaine. If you haven’t heard of Rogaine, then perhaps you grew up in an igloo, but for the rest of you the name rings true.

Rogaine was one of the first hair loss products to feature what many consider the Holy Grail of all hair loss treatments, Minoxidil. But as the times have changed so too has the world of hair loss products. Many now have Minoxidil in them, like Provillus and in many more cases these hair loss products contain more Minoxidil then Rogaine does. Add to that the fact that many all-natural products such as Procerin, Sephren for women, and Therapy-g are beginning to catch up in the battle against hair loss. So why is Rogaine such a popular product?

Because Rogaine was one of the first to the market with a hair loss product that was somewhat effective, they enjoyed much of the dollars that were spent by the hundreds of thousands of individuals trying to combat their hair loss. This influx of money lead to a big build-up of cash reserve and the ability to blanket the market with advertising and thus more individuals seeing the hair loss product Rogaine more than any other available.

Rogaine is also popular on the websites that write hair loss product reviews and many tout it as the king of all the hair loss treatments. Problem is that the effectiveness rate is only 85 percent. While that sounds like a high percentage, there are still 15 out of every 100 people that try Rogaine that don’t see any effect. Try telling those 15 people that 85 percent is a good percentage.

The lesson to be learned here is that Rogaine is not the only hair loss product that features Minoxidil anymore. Many other quality hair loss products can be purchased that also have Minoxidil, like Provillus and these products are just as effective, if not more effective than Rogaine.

While in life you should never judge a book by its cover, you should also not judge a hair loss treatment by name alone. Isn’t that essentially the same thing? Take some time and read through the numerous hair loss reviews found online and make your decision accordingly.
