Revivogen Scalp Therapy-Anti-DHT Formula is a product in the vast array of treatments for hair loss. It’s a topical solution that is supposed to work by blocking dihydrotestosterone, or DHT, a common cause of male pattern baldness. The manufacturers of Revivogen claim that it fights hair loss and stimulates the growth of fuller, thicker hair. The formula is made from all-natural ingredients, and is currently patent pending. We think it should be patent pending indefinitely! We’re not impressed with this product, and we’ll go into the reasons below.
Active Ingredients
- Gamma Linolenic acid (GLA), Alpha Linolenic acid (ALA), oleic acid, and linoleic acid are essential fatty acids that can help block DHT and promote hair regrowth Grape Seed extract also can block DHT
- Saw Palmetto and Beta-sitosterol are natural ingredients that can work together to combat hair loss
- Azelaic Acid has been shown to stimulate hair growth
- Vitamin B6, Vitamin E, and Zinc support the regrowth of healthy hair
While this is an impressive list of natural ingredients, it’s not enough to convince us that Revivogen is a safe, effective product.
Using Revivogen
Revivogen is applied once daily to a clean scalp. For best results, the manufacturers recommend that you work the solution into the scalp by massaging for 10-20 seconds
Side effects
While the manufacturers claim that Revivogen is safe and free of side effects, some users experience redness and irritation of the scalp. That’s one way to hide your hair loss problem—ensure that people will be looking at your flaming red scalp, not your hair!
Price
A 3-month supply of Revivogen Scalp Therapy-Anti-DHT Formula is sold for $89.00. It would be a good value—if the product actually worked as described! No mention is made from the manufacturers of a money-back guarantee—for us, that can be a deal breaker!
User reviews
As we mentioned above, one of the most common complaints that users of Revivogen have is the tendency of the product to irritate your scalp or cause it to turn red or even orange. And we wouldn’t recommend the orange scalp look at all unless you’re planning on going as a pumpkin to a Halloween party! Another common complaint is that Revivogen causes shedding. The manufacturers claim that shedding only occurs in the first few weeks of use, however, we have our doubts. Some Revivogen users have noted the unpleasant smell of the product. Also, many are unhappy with the greasy feel of the solution. Then there’s the fact that the manufacturers claim the product takes three to six months to see results from using Revivogen. Who wants to wait that long to see results? But some users who don’t see any of the negative side effects mentioned above find that Revivogen does absolutely nothing for them after a long period of use.
Conclusion
It’s just not worth spending your hard-earned money on a product like Revivogen Scalp Therapy-Anti-DHT Formula that doesn’t have a good track record of safety and effectiveness. We recommend that you try one of the many other treatments for hair loss on the market. You deserve a product that actually works!
