Revivogen Bio-Cleansing Shampoo is a product that’s designed to work in different ways to help hair loss sufferers (and we know that means you!). First, it removes sebum and DHT from the scalp while gently cleansing. It also nourishes your hair and improves the condition of your hair by moisturizing. Overall, Revivogen Bio-Cleansing Shampoo is supposed to promote healthy hair growth. Unlike Revivogen Scalp Therapy, it has no active ingredients. Instead, the shampoo is intended to compliment treatment with the Revivogen Scalp Therapy. But we think this is one product that you can do without, and we’ll tell you why.
Product ingredients
Revivogen Bio-Cleansing Shampoo contains the following ingredients:
Deionized water, Decyl polyglucose, Cocoamphocarboxyglycinate, Cocamide MEA, Aloe Vera, Jojoba Oil, Cocoyl Sarcosine, Dimethicone, Ethylene glychol stearate, Polyquatrenium-4, Panthenol, Saw Palmetto extract, Niacin, Guar, Soy protein, Pyridoxal Hydrochloride, Silk Protein, Allantoin, Ascorbic acid, Alpha linolenic acid, Gamma linolenic acid, Linoleic acid, Zinc sulfate, Azaleic acid, Menthol, Benzophenone-4, Methyl Paraben
It kind of gives you a headache reading that list, doesn’t it? Seems like you’d need a degree in chemistry to know what half of those ingredients are!
Use of product
Revivogen Bio-Cleansing Shampoo, like all shampoos, is designed to be applied to wet hair. However, the manufacturers also recommend leaving the product in for a few minutes before rinsing. Makes us wonder how effective the product really is! We’d much prefer a product that’s designed to be rinsed out immediately, and we know that you don’t have time in your busy routine to stand around waiting for your shampoo to work!
Cost of product
Revivogen Bio-Cleansing Shampoo costs 19.95 for a 12 oz bottle. We think that’s pretty expensive for a product that’s just going right down the drain!
Side effects
No side effects are known, however, the shampoo contains a few ingredients that are potential irritants.
User reviews
We think the manufacturers should have added “Plug nose with clothespin” to the user instructions for Revivogen Bio-Cleansing Shampoo. That’s right, according to some users, the shampoo has a “minty” scent that just plain stinks! Plus some users have found the shampoo to be irritating. Also, a few users have a problem with the shampoo being too harsh and drying. The idea is that removing the oil from your hair creates more volume. But, it’s important that the shampoo does this gently and not completely dry out your hair. And we don’t want you to have to add a hair conditioner to your daily routine. We know that that’s a step that the average guy or gal with hair loss problems can do without. Also, we hear that the dry, frizzy look for hair is “out” this season anyway!
Conclusion
We’d recommend that you save your money and stay away from Revivogen Bio-Cleansing Shampoo! We think that any shampoo—even one not designed for hair loss sufferers—would be a much better buy. And you deserve to get yourself a shampoo that will be really effective in improving the appearance of your hair!
