Yet another version of the RE-MOX system developed by Doctor Klein. This time RE-MOX IV is being touted as the “Jump start for men.” The RE-MOX IV system is sold as a kit and contains a two month supply of RE-MOX IV Lotion, RE-MOX IV Spray, and RE-MOX Scalp Shampoo. Like many other supposed hair loss products on the market today, RE-MOX is jumping on the “bundle your products” band wagon.
Ingredients
RE-MOX claims that their new system re-grows a luxurious head of hair because of what is in the product:
• Minoxidil: Minoxidil has been used with some success in the treatment of slowing hair loss but any results fade after use is discontinued. Side effects such as increased acne in the applied area -where you are bald- make it a risk you may not want to take.
• Tretinoin: Tretinoin is the acid form of Vitamin A. Its most common use is for treating acne. Maybe this ingredient will counteract the acne that may be gained from the Minoxidil. Good news for those of you that have stretch marks on your head though as Tretinoin is also used to combat that problem as well.
• Hydrocortisone: Hydrocortisone was first introduced as a treatment for rheumatoid arthritis and referred to as Compound E. Not really sure how this slows the loss of hair.
• Azelaic Acid: Azelaic acid is a saturated dicarboxylic acid found naturally in wheat, rye, and barley. It is a natural substance that is produced by Malassezia furfur -also known as Pityrosporum ovale-, a yeast that lives on normal skin. Its main use is fighting acne but is a popular mixture and even stand alone treatment for many hair loss products. While some products that feature the acid have had positive results it is not known if the Azelaic Acid was the main reason.
• Progesterone: Progesterone is a C-21 steroid hormone involved in the female menstrual cycle, pregnancy -supports gestation- and embryogenesis of humans and other species. This is great to help with female problems, but not hair loss problems for men, or women for that matter.
How to use
The directions for use of this product call for you to apply it four times per day. Yes four times. On top of that you must make sure to use the shampoo daily as well. RE-MOX also recommends yet another product –not included in the kit- called Spironolactone that should be applied after each use. Hopefully you have plenty of time for this during your day.
Small print
Ah yes the small print. RE-MOX says that this kit is only for men in great health and at the beginning stages of hair loss. For those of you that are a little hefty or have a more than moderate amount of hair loss apparently you are out of luck. There is also mention of considerable side effects that are possible with the products.
Conclusion
RE-MOX, like so many other hair loss products, offers you the world. Of course you have to be in ship-shape, buy multiple products, use them many times during the day, and perhaps experience side effects. If all this sounds worth it go for it, but beware the caption below the before and after photo that says, “Results vary.” Usually that is not a strong sign of confidence on the part of a company trying to sell any effective product.
