Nioxin System 4

Take a trip to your local store and you will find many products that will clean your hair. If you want to spend a lot of money, walk into the beauty salon and get similar products that cost you more. This is my take on Nioxin. The products are aggressively marketed at people with thinning hair. But when I look at the ingredients, I see that many of them match what you see on most hair care products. Oh sure, they have a few that are different, but I’m not impressed. Back it up with clinical research and maybe I will change my mind.

Moving on with the Nioxin hair system, I’m looking at Nioxin System 4. It is aimed at chemically enhanced and thinning hair. So if you color your hair, this product is supposed to be fore you.

BioAmp

I guess people with thinning hair will benefit from a hair thickening system. Personally, I would buy it from a less expensive store.

Scalp Access Delivery System

The product provides moisture to the scalp and contains sunscreen at SPF 15.

Nioxin Cleanser

I guess if you like shampoos with fancy names, you can use this product. If you enjoy spending a lot of money for what I’ll admit is a good quality shampoo, okay, go ahead. But I think there are plenty of quality shampoos that do the same things Nioxin does without spending a lot of money. I don’t buy into the idea that removing dirt and sebum alone will help stop hair loss.

Nioxin Scalp Therapy

When you shampoo your hair, you need to make sure it stays moist and soft. Bring in the conditioner. The Nioxin Scalp Therapy is your conditioner. I’m not sure what it has to do with preventing hair loss, but your hair will be softer.

Nioxin Scalp Treatment

Now we have to treat the scalp. Apparently if you apply a leave-in product that makes your hair feel cold briefly (the effect of Menthol), turning your scalp red, that is supposed to help reduce hair loss? That’s my take on this product. It has been around since the beginning as one of the company’s signature products. This is the focal product that made Nioxin famous. They say it provides nutrition to the scalp to help prevent environmental residue and DHT buildup

Conclusion

Spend your money on something less expensive for you shampoo and conditioning needs. Nioxin is a quality product, but I have a hard time liking a product line that clearly markets itself as a potential solution to hair loss problems. If I’m going to spend my dollars on a product that helps hair loss, then I want something that has some clinical research to back it up.

I’m not impressed with the marketing of this company and the price of the products is pretty high when you consider that all it probably does is clean and condition your hair. Well I take that back. It also has sunscreen to protect your scalp, so you won’t get sunburned?

Should you buy it? That’s up to you. Would I? I think you already know the answer to that one.
