The NeoLight™ Laser Hair Brush is, well, a hair brush with a light in it. It’s said to make your hair grow back, with proven evidence from NASA and everything. Let’s take a look at what the NeoLight™ Hair Brush is all about and find out if this is the hair loss remedy you’ve been waiting for.
The NeoLight™ Hair Brush is made by NeoLight™ ™ and uses laser LED light and low-intensity lasers to stimulate the scalp and encourage hair growth. It has been proven by scientific evidence that laser light and LED light can help skin cells heal faster. So, the theory is that this type of therapy can be significant in restoring hair growth as well. Lasers heal skin by improving circulation and speeding up your metabolism, which is your body’s time clock.
So, what is LED light? LED stands for light emitting diode. Not feeling that that particular definition was helpful to me, I went to the standby, Wikipedia, to find out a little more. Here is what I found in the first paragraph:
“A light-emitting-diode (LED) is a semiconductor diode that emits light when an electric current is applied in the forward direction of the device, as in the simple LED circuit. The effect is a form of electroluminescence where incoherent and narrow-spectrum light is emitted from the p-n junction.”
Now that we have that cleared up, we can just move on right? Umm, maybe not. Let’s dissect: a semiconductor means electrical current can flow one way, but not the other through a device that has two electrodes (little deely bobbers that make contact with the non-metallic part of a circuit (the semiconductor) which causes light from the electricity!
So does it work to grow hair?
The first study that I found to offer evidence that it does work is this one by NASA that showed LED light was quite effective in slowing pain and discomfort from treatment for cancer.
The next study I found showed how LED lights and laser lights can help in the treatment of acne: *Report from the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, Hammersmith Hospital, U.K.
This report shows that LED lights can help with photorejuvenation, or helping the skin repair itself from damage done by sunlight, comparable to retinoid products. http://www.asds.net/TechnologyReportLEDRejuvenation.aspx
And finally, this study showed that laser/LED lights can heal wounds, diminish pain, improve cellular respiration and function. Margaret A. Naeser, Scott K. Deuel. The Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine. April 1, 1999, 5(2): 177-180. doi:10.1089/acm.1999.5.177.
Obviously, there is clear evidence that LED and laser lights are quite effective in promoting cell repair and growth, increasing circulation and promoting healing. All of these conditions are the same ones that will encourage hair to regrow.
It’s pretty straightforward- use the brush three times a week for about 10 to 15 minutes per time.
$195.00 which isn’t cheap for a hair brush, but hey, you can get free shipping! It should also last a lifetime.
The NeoLight™ Laser Hair Brush works by exposing the scalp to both LED light and laser light, which have been proven to be very helpful in promoting healthy, healing skin. I was unable to find any bad reviews of the NeoLight™ Laser Hair Brush. Unfortunately, I was unable to find any positive reviews either. Give it a shot if you’ve got $200. It’s definitely cheaper than a lot of hair loss treatments that are ongoing and can add up to thousands of dollars.
