Folligen Cream is supposed to be particularly helpful in stopping hair loss and encouraging new hair growth in the hairline area. This Folligen Cream review will reveal the truth behind these claims and give detailed information on the ingredients in Folligen Cream to help you know what to expect from this product.

Ingredients in Folligen Cream

Purified water, aloe barbadensis leaf juice (aloe vera) gel, copper peptides (hydrolyzed soy protein and cupric chloride), squalane, glyceryl stearate, PEG-100 stearate, ethylhexyl palmitate, stearic acid, cetyl alcohol, polysorbate 80, cupric chloride, saw palmetto oil, beta-sitosterol, allantoin, propylene glycol, methylparaben, propylparaben, diazolidinyl urea, tocophersolan (Vitamin E), menthol, lavandula augustifolia (lavender) oil, fragrance, mixed (alpha, beta, gamma, delta) tocopherols.

Aloe Vera Gel:

Aloe Vera Gel is known to help speed healing of skin, but there is no scientific evidence that it does anything specific to prevent hair loss or aid in hair re-growth. The makers of Folligen cite the need for a healthy scalp in order to prevent hair loss and aloe Vera gel has been used for generations to aid in health skin.

Copper Peptides:

This is the primary ingredient is said to set Folligen apart from its competitors. Copper peptides are small proteins that stimulate the production of collagen, which makes up about 80% of your skin and gives it structure. Copper peptides are supposed to increase the size of the hair follicle and the hair itself. Copper peptides also sooth the scalp and heal it so it can withstand products like minoxidil without irritation.

Squalane:

Squalane is acquired from the livers of deep sea. It is similar to the natural oils of our body, so our skin can and do completely absorb it. It replenishes the body’s own oil and moisturizes the skin.

Allatonin:

According to the USFDA, allatonin helps prevent and temporarily protects chafed, chapped, cracked or wind-burned skin and lips.

Disclosure of Ingredients

Folligen Cream does not list the amounts of ingredients used in the products. In fact, the labels do not list the ingredients or directions of use.

Marketing

The Folligen website lists pages of testimonials as well as before and after photos. The testimonials on the company website all appear positive, however when searching other sources that sell Folligen, testimonials tend to run just slightly in favor of the product. About 45% of comments stated they saw no improvement whatsoever and even disliked the product.

The website also has many pages filled with information including scientific studies testifying to the validity of the product. However, I did not see any amounts of ingredients stated anywhere on the site, other than to say that “Folligen Solution has 9.0 times more copper peptides per ounce than Concentrated Graftcyte® and 31.8 times more copper peptides per ounce than Tricomin® (Source - Evergreen Analytical Labs, Redmond, WA). ”

Guarantee

The website is very clear to state that products work differently on everyone and results cannot be guaranteed. In fact, it tends to go out of the way to practically caution a person to know that it’s debatable whether the product will work or cause any allergic reaction. It also leaned toward a guilt trip if you thought of returning the item and had a process involving a Return Authorization Number to return the items. The return policies alone would make me very hesitant to purchase this product.

Conclusion

While it seems that copper peptides are certainly useful ingredients in overall skin health, the reviews from customers who have used Folligen Cream are mixed. Slightly over half of customer reviews from sites other than Folligen swear by it and just under half say it didn’t work and was very messy to use. If you are sensitive to minoxidil and are willing to use it with the Folligen Cream, it might be worth your $30 for the product and shipping costs, but your odds are only slightly better than 50/50.
